FreeGames OnlineWho has money to waste on bad games? We sure don't. So we went searching and found games you can play..for FREE. Here are our 5 picks best games and game portals where you can play...yes, for FREE.

Utopia from Swirve

If you’ve ever wanted to be a Lady (or Lord) in charge of your own province, this is the game for you.Swirve, tauts their twin web based games Utopia and Earth:2025 as the most hardcore browser games on the internet and we have to agree.

The Good:

If you’re and office girl, you’ll love that Utopia is non-committal in its style, allowing you to log in and check on your kingdom, rain some fireballs down on your enemies and log out only about once a day all without smudging your lipgloss. The Utopia community is also very team oriented. You’ll find other provinces, played by other guys and girls like yourself, will have your back, even when you’re NOT logged in.

The Bad:

If you’re the micro-manage type gamer, you’ll go nuts when you have to log out and leave your little digital subjects to fend for themselves. And even though the Utopia community is all about teams and working together, you’ll find you can’t choose your kingdom or start a kingdom with friends.

1 vs 100

While technically NOT free because you have to have an Xbox Live Account to play, it won’t cost you any additional MS Points or cash to play. If you think you’re the HBIC (Head Bitch In Charge) when it comes to trivia it’s time to put your controller where you mouth is. 1 vs. 100 runs in certain time slots and certain nights on Xbox Live and even allows you to send yourself reminders of when to play.

The Good:

Any game that helps you find a use for all of that useless trivia knowledge and force you to think fast on your feet, can’t be all bad.

The Bad:

Not enough time slots! In this work at home age, XBL should have 1 vs. 100 running all day long. Some of us would love a quick game during lunch. Also, though the person with the highest score wins a prize, WE would love to see prizes given away at random to folk who are the stars of their round or their little group of four. Even if it’s just one MS point, it’d be nice to have.

Where to find it: Xbox Live (must have an Xbox 360 people)

Dungeon Runners

Once again technically this one is NOT free, you’ll have to buy the software, either for digital download or from your local games retailer, but still the cost of NO MONTHLY FEE for an MMO…priceless.

The Good:

Free…did we forget to mention that part? It’s FREE aside from purchasing the software. Sword fight til your heart is content

The Bad: The game can get a little repetitive but we think FREE can overcome that any day.

Pogo.com

This is not one game but TONS of free games to be played at your leisure. Accumulate enough points and you could enter to win actual cash..to use to buy more games of course.

The Good:

Cash prize give-a-ways..CASH

The Bad:

Terribly addictive. You THINK you don’t want to play 15 back to back games of Monopoly but you do…and you will

Where to find it: www.pogo.com

Zone (zone.msn.com)

One of Microsoft’s best kept secrets, Zone on MSN.com has 155 FREE, yes we said FREE games. Sign up for a Live ID and you can even earn points toward cool prizes like headsets for you Xbox or just rack up the special badges they give out.

The Good:

Prizes and able to play via just about any browser, which means getting in some lunch time gaming without installing anything on your PC.

The Bad:

Browser prejudice. If you’re a Firefox Fox, you’ll find you get repeated pop ups telling your browser is incompatible. Just switch to IE or ignore the warnings.

Where to find it: zone.msn.com (Sign in with your Live ID to earn badges and points)
