The ECA urges you to take action!

Dear Gamers,

Today, the “Anti-streaming bill” is being discussed by our elected officials in Washington, DC.  This legislation has chilling implications if it passes.  The two pieces of legislation, Protect IP and SOPA, would allow the government to block virtually any website.  You can take action and learn more now, or if you need more convincing here’s what can put you in jail:

  • Remixing and posting your favorite song
  • Posting a video which just so happens to have music playing in the background
  • Posting a video of your video game speed trial
  • Machinima
  • Linking to questionable sites

This legislation would put YouTube stars behind bars and there’s more that makes me shudder.  This is pretty serious and all it takes is 30 seconds to voice your opinion to your elected representatives.  Please add your voice, I can’t stress the importance.

Happy gaming,
