When putting together the topic for this weeks’ Gamer Girls Radio, I went further into exploring some things that have changed with women gamers in the past few years.  I began wondering why these changes have come about and how this site may have helped or hurt what is tentatively called the Girl Gamer Movement.   

Over the past weekend, G4tv.com released its most influential people of the gaming industry in the last decade. It should come as no surprise that there were absolutely NO WOMEN on this list.

Everyone knows the scenario; you meet someone, find them attractive, someone makes a move and you start dating, then end up in love.  Wonderful story, right?  Well, what happens when your love doesn’t share the same interests as you?  Do you just sit back and let that void grow?  There has to be some way!  Well, never fear, gamers!  There are ways to help keep your relationship strong.  Take a breath and read on.

Ubisoft’s latest Wii hosted title, Your Shape, tauts that women between the ages of 25 and 45, who don’t have the time for a “real” workout can maintain their shape.  

Normally the WTF statement on this site is reserved for our very own Master Blaster, but when I saw IGNs latest endorsement of a site called gamecrush.com ‘What the F*%$!’ is all I could think.

The VP of marketing for EA once refused review copies of games and the offer to purchase ad space from Gameinatrix.com, stating ‘you are a niche site and women only really play The Sims” as the reason.

James Gallagher blogger over at Sony posted a question that women gamers are getting rather tired of answering.
