The SilverFit system - a tool for physical therapy that uses computer games and gesture recognition technology to train people – won the first prize in the category ‘Innovation Application Methods and Environments’ at the European Innovative Games Award 2009 (EIGA) held in Frankfurt on November 6. The SilverFit system is recognized for its ability to help seniors and disabled individuals start and maintain physical therapy regimens with physically engaging interactive software. It trains seniors and disabled individuals to execute all large body movements prescribed in rehabilitation after a stroke, hip injury, and other common medical incidents. The SilverFit virtual therapy system is powered by Softkinetic’s leading 3D gesture recognition platform, iisu™.
