In this rendition of King Arthur you have three heroes with different, but intertwining storylines and scenarios: an enchantress, Lady Corrigan of the Sidhe, in search of her magical homeland, a knight, Sir Lionel, in search of a damsel in distress, and a shaman, Drest the Chosen, driven by dreams of greatness. All three of the stories are very well done, and actually do draw you into it if you take the time to actually read it.Oh, and you do have the opportunity to read the stories as you go through the first half of the episode. What’s so special about the first half, you ask?Easy; the first half of each episode is basically a “choose your own way” adventure type story.I love these things. It reminds me of the old school RPG games.I was super excited to see this particular feature.
The second half of each episode is where the RTS feature comes into play. You do get a tutorial on how to move each unit, utilize the magic and skills of each hero, as well as getting hints and background of how to actually get through each battle.Let me tell you… me not being a huge RTS fan made this actually a little harder than I thought, even on the easiest setting. However, that did not discourage me from wanting to actually keep playing. This is not an RTS for the casual gamer.Oh, no.This RTS is for people who crave immersion, and actually want a challenge. It’s my opinion that you would get your money’s worth playing this game. That’s not even mentioning the absolutely gorgeous artwork, or the beautiful background music.Well done, Paradox Interactive. Well done. You managed to get the Snow White Seal of Approval.
