Today NAMCO BANDAI Games Europe is proud to announce that ACE COMBAT™ ASSAULT HORIZON is now available in stores across Europe for Xbox 360® and PlayStation®3. Developed by the Project Aces team at NAMCO BANDAI Games Inc. in Japan, ACE COMBAT ASSAULT HORIZON brings a new intensity to the franchise, escalating combat to the next level with aircraft that are literally torn apart, spewing oil and debris across the sky. Players will engage in intense single player, co-op and online multiplayer combat over real world locations around the globe, dodging skyscrapers and turning enemies into fiery supersonic debris.
Project Ace, the ACE COMBAT development team, renowned for their uncompromising standards and continual dedication to excellence, has reinvented the ACE COMBAT franchise, and with it, the action shooting genre. ACE COMBAT ASSAULT HORIZON introduces a revolutionary close-range assault system that delivers high-speed acrobatics and one-on-one encounters to make dogfights more tense and exciting.

Featuring a story written by New York Times' bestselling military author, Jim DeFelice, writer of “Leopards Kill” and “Threat Level Black”, ACE COMBAT ASSAULT HORIZON puts players in the shoes of a top gun pilot in an international task force. The engaging war drama spans real-world locations, such as Dubai, Russia, Washington DC or Paris as an exclusive multiplayer map and incorporates new categories of aircrafts, including supersonic jets and the introduction of the attack helicopters and more.
From day one, all players will be able to download the fantastic winning entry to the recent Facebook Skin Design Contest, Death Rider by Chi-Chun Liu, as a free playable skin for the F15-C fighter. Fans who pre-ordered ACE COMBAT ASSAULT HORIZON at participating retailers will also receive their three free multiplayer skills to enhance the online combat experience in one of the three main modes: Domination, Deathmatch & Capital Conquest.
The team at Project Aces is now hard at work on the game’s downloadable content, with post-launch premium DLC to feature brand new fictional aircraft including the ASF-X Shinden II and CFA-44 Nosferatu, alongside the real-world Su-37 Terminator, Tornado GR.4, AV-8B Harrier II Plus, YF-23 Black Widow II, F-15S/MTD and Ka-50 Hokum. To keep the skies alive with fire, loads more premium DLC is lined up for the months ahead, including aircraft skins and new maps for locations such as Tokyo and Hawaii.
